SCHOLARSHIPS

The Paliwal Institute offers the following Scholarships to its students :

  • Full or Partial tuition fee waiver to economically weak Girls Boys Students.
  • S.C candidates are given scholarship of tuition fee waiver from the Government.
  • An award of Rs 5000 as S.K. Paliwal memorial award to Mathematics toppers scoring(Min 98% in Mathematics)
  • Basis of Admissions

    The admission to Diploma (Engg.) courses will be on the basis of DET - Ranks based on inter-se Merit of DET -2012 For candidates obtaining equal marks in DET - 12 merits, the candidate with higher marks in Math will be placed at higher Rank. If the candidate has same marks in Math, the candidate having higher marks in science will be placed at higher Rank. For the candidate having same marks in science, the candidate having higher marks in English will be placed at higher Rank For the candidate having same marks in English the senior in age will be placed at higher Rank.


    ADMISSIONS IN DIPLOMA (Engg.) UNDER HARYANA GOVT. SCHOOL TOPPERS (HGST) AND KASHMIRI MIGRANTS (KM) QUOTA.The admission to Diploma Engineering courses will be on the basis of percentage of aggregate marks obtained in qualifying exams in Mathematics, Science, Social Studies , English and Hindi. Candidates should also be passing in all the subjects mentioned above.

    Note :

    i. The candidates will produce a certificate in the support of their claim from the Principal/Headmaster of the Govt. School of which the candidate is Topper clearly stating the strength of class and the candidate claiming HGST quota should be Topper (minimium 2nd division) in current year exam (i.e.-2012).(Minimum strength of class should be 5 to become eligible for HGST.)


    For Diploma (Engg): One seat in each branch in each Polytechnics is reserved for each Topper of Govt. Schools of Haryana (having minimum 2nd division) and shall be filled on the inter-se merit of percentage of qualifying exam (i.e. 10th class) through Online counseling at www.tehadmissions.gov.in. One seat in each branch in each Polytechnics is reserved for Kashmiri migrants for Diploma(Engg.).These seats are to be filled up on supernumerary basis on the inter-se merit of percentage of qualifying exam (i.e. 10th class) through Online counseling at www.tehadmissions.gov.in by Haryana State Counseling Society.

    General Conditions

    For the students from ITI getting admission in lateral entry in diploma stream i.e. in 2nd year, they will have to undergo course in Applied Science I in 3rd semester and II in 4th semester in addition to prescribed course of III and IV Semester of diploma. Exemption may be accorded by the Board depending upon the branch in which they are admitted for e.g., in case any student has studied Engg. Drawing at 10 + 2 level, he may be exempted from examination of Engg. Drawing. The Board will prescribe curriculum for these additional courses. At institution level, these additional subjects will be taught either after the institutional hours or on the weekend.

    Seat Distribution

    50% of the total seats available for Lateral entry are reserved for ITI passed out students.
    I.PIET will fill 25% seats (including 15% seats for children/wards of NRIs) at their own level in a just and transparent manner for which we shall invite the applications, prepare and display the merit list. The procedure shall be displayed by the Institute concerned on its website.
    II. The minimum eligibility condition for these seats shall remain the same as that for 75% seats to be filled by the Haryana State Counseling Society.

    LIST OF DOCUMENTS TO BE BROUGHT AT THE TIME OF REPORTING IN THE INSTITUTE:

    The candidates, at the time of reporting at designated institutes must bring the following Original Certificates/Documents/Testimonials along with three sets of duly attested photocopies of these with them. Any candidate, who fails to produce any of the required Certificate / Document / Testimonial at the time of reporting at the designated institution, will forfeit his/her claim to admission.
    i. Original & duly attested photocopy of Qualifying Examination i.e.10+2 & 10th
    ii. DET-12 / DET Engg.(Lateral Entry)-12 / Rank Card.
    iii. Character Certificate :
    (a) Regular Candidates : The candidates who passed their qualifying exam. from School/College as regular students are required to submit the Character Certificate as per Annexure-XIV.
    (b) Private Candidates : Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination as private candidates should submit their Character Certificate, duly signed by a First Class Magistrate.
    iv. Residents Certificate as per Annexure-VI, if applicable : Candidates, who have passed their qualifying examination from a Board/Recognized School located in the State of Haryana will be deemed to be Haryana residents and will not be required to submit certificates of bonafide residents of Haryana.
    v. Certificate from the Employer in the case of Employees of Govt. of Haryana, members of All India Services borne on Haryana Cadre, Employees of Statutory Bodies/Corporations as per Annexure-VII, if applicable.
    vi. Scheduled Caste Certificate as per Annexure-VIII, if applicable.
    vii. Backward Class Certificate as per Annexure-IX, if applicable and affidavit as per Annexure-X.
    viii. Certificate in respect of Physically Handicapped Candidates as per Annexure-XI, if applicable.
    ix. Certificate required to be furnished by the Children & Grand-children of Freedom Fighters as per Annexure-XII, if applicable.
    x. Certificate from wards of Deceased/Disabled/Discharged Military/Para-Military personnel/Ex-Servicemen or Ex-Personnel of Para-Military Forces – Annexure-XVI.
    xi. Certificate from wards of ex-employee of Indian Defence Services/ Para-Military Forces- Annexure-XV.
    xii. Certificate of Medical Fitness- Annexure-XIII. xiii. Admit Card of DET-12 / DET (L)-12.
